UR Community Cares

UR Community Cares received funding from the Connecticut  Community Foundation and they are looking for Volunteers in Beacon  Falls, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, New Milford,  Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott,  and Woodbury!

As people are coming out of the hospital, recovering  from surgery or they are less mobile due to aging, residents can safely  connect with neighbors to provide assistance via URCommunityCares.org,  allowing them to stay independent at home.

We are looking for  volunteers age 15 and older, they are urged to sign up to help a  neighbor, they can be in a group or individual enrollments; businesses  can get involved and have volunteer days, high schools can have students  volunteer together, churches can get their youth group involved.

Visit  UR Community Cares website to learn more about volunteer opportunities.  When you sign up you decide if you want to help with transportation,  chores around the house, yard work or be a companion. UR Community Cares  is 100% volunteer and a testament to the flexibility and efficiency of  the process.

Contact Michelle Puzzo, co-founder and President at 860-430-4557 or info@urcommunitycares.org if you would like to become a Hometown Hero.
